Gridpaper ("the App") does not collect or transmit your content to the developer's servers. The App has no developer-operated server, and there is no sign-up or login. What you write stays on your device and in your own iCloud account.
1. Information Stored
The App stores the information you enter:
To-dos, repeating routines, and tags
Events and reminder times
Yearly goals and their milestones
Diary entries, along with photos and decorations you place in them
App settings (theme, language, calendar mark color, and so on)
This information is kept in the App's storage on your device, and the developer has no access to it. The App does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or payment details.
2. iCloud Sync
The App uses Apple's CloudKit private database to sync your records across the devices signed in to your Apple Account.
Synced data is stored in your own iCloud account. It is not sent to the developer's servers, and the developer cannot read it.
Storage in iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you prefer not to sync, you can turn off iCloud for the App in Settings → (your name) → iCloud → See All Apps. After that, new records stay on that device only.
3. Photos
The App asks for photo library access when you add a photo to a diary entry. Only the photos you pick are copied into the App; it does not read or index your library. Copied photos are stored like any other record — on your device and in your own iCloud.
4. Notifications
Event reminders are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification content or delivery record is sent anywhere, and no remote push server is used. (The silent signals Apple sends to keep iCloud in sync carry no notification content.)
5. Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking
The App uses no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs, and no tracking technologies. It does not collect usage data, device identifiers, or location, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
6. Third Parties
The App does not provide, sell, or share any personal information with third parties. The iCloud storage described in section 2 takes place within your own account and is not a disclosure to a third party.
7. Retention and Deletion
Your records are kept until you delete them. The developer holds no separate copy.
Deleting an item in the App removes it from your device, and — if iCloud sync is on — from your other devices as well.
Deleting the App removes that device's data. Data remaining in iCloud can be removed under Settings → (your name) → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
8. Your Rights
Because everything the App stores lives on your device and in your account, you can view, edit, and delete it directly in the App. If you need anything from the developer, please use the contact address below.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated text and a new "last updated" date will be posted on this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
